Bubba Gump Shrimp Co Revisited - The Curve

Food We look forward with relish to this second visit. We have a good first experience as for their service and food about a month ago. However, I find their interior a bit labyrinthine. Too many private places/booths and restaurant stuffs in unlikely places. Makes it kind of special/unique/private and I think couples just love this place. Problem is table turnover will be slow meaning driving customers away or having to wait too long for a table.

This time around was no different I have to leave my cell number with the doorman. The call (15mins) finally came but we were offered a table along the sidewalk. We were told it was a smoking area. The al fresco area was really not to my son liking as it is a smoking area but then again we were not sure when we could get a table inside.

This time round we went beyond shrimps. Ordered Back Ribs and Barramundi. The ribs were not cheap. Something in the region of RM50.

Bill: About RM205.00
Our drinks came. My wife's margarita.
My smoothie.
My son's.
Better quality sauces. Lingham's Chili sauce, Tabasco pepper sauce, Heinz Malt vinegar and Heinz tomato ketchup. If you need help run this plate!
If all is fine, display this.
Our favourite. 3/4 lbs of shrimps. If there is a bigger group go for 1 1/2 lbs pot. For sharing!
Cajun Shrimps. Spicy. Looks a bit pathetic but taste was fine.Back ribs on a news sheet. Only happens in the US. Elephant size ribs. Meat was tender and tore off easily. Yum.Bourbon Street Barramundi. Nice seared grill marks on the fillet. Came with a thick slab of mashed potatoes. Good stuff.

SG... If we go for shrimps only and cut down on expensive drinks, it's half the price.

Allie... I once saw this in Iron Chef (AFC) where this Japanese New Yorker present Japanese food on a piece of newsprint!!

Oooo, I hadn't realised I'd started pining for the barramundi till I saw your picture! Only been about a month since I'd pretty much decided I wouldn't go back!
