Vietnam, Saigon - Street Food: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Part 6)
Enjoying a mental work-out with a cup of mean and mind-bending highlands black coffee.Friends table-talk. Low table and 'short' chairs. It is a long conversation and is threatening to extend into the lunch hour soon. No fear lunch is just nearby.
Lunch beckons. The lady allows me to shoot everything except herself. Wise of her. Sigh...no persuasive skills on my part! Cheap lunch really for the common man. Staple food. BTW the low-er the table the cheaper the price. Lunch by the big tree. Sounds familiar and feels nostalgic!Saigon's traffic caught on the glass cabinet.To-fu
Fatty porkSoup is a must for meals and deep-fried pork chops. Usually soup comes free like our chap fan.
Dinner time. By the lamp posts! No dates here. Clams, snails and shells. Vietnamese balut and other goodies. Saigon beer.
