Bandung Cakes and Pastry

It may the Dutch heritage coupled with the Asian's inclination towards anything sweeeeet. Our Indonesian cousins just love it sweet. There is a huge selection of pastries and confectioneries being dished out for the masses. You can see the lines and the clustering of people in these shops at any hours of the day.

An understanding about Indonesian bakeries and confectioneries point to a huge demand for any diary products together with its foundational components of eggs, flour and sugar. My constant landings there in times past have caused me to yield to thousands of calories at one sitting, hacking away at their sweet desserts.

Their famous Kek Lapis. Sweet favourite and a must to bag it to be taken home for loved ones. Takes much love and efforts to produce.
