Restoran Singgah Selalu - Danga Bay, Johore Baru

This restaurant in Danga Bay is popular with Johoreans and have good food served late into the night. It is directly popular the Danga Bay. The parking is adequate and it is packed to the brim at the alfresco area on weekday night! We have tons of stuff from their extensive menu. My buddy picked the best for us.
We decided indoors with the air-con is better.
Some starters with otak-otak.Deep-fried tau pok with peanut sauce gravy and crushed peanut toppings.
Prawns deep-fried in batter.
Grilled Stingray in chili and spices. Sweet flesh mingled with wonderful a wonderfully concocted coating.
Hot plate prawns in spices.
Deep-fried caramelized sotong. Crunchy sweet and lightly salted. Good stuff.
Chicken Sate.Lamb and beef sate.
Mamak noodles. Tasty.Char Koay Teow - mamak style.Fried mantou - sweet pastry with a nice aroma.
Dip the mantau into the creamy spices laden gravy. Excellent.

Ooh la la!! Food down south never looked this enticing! JB otak-otak should be instituted as the national starter! Did you chance upon any of JB's famous lontong while you were there?

Looks good, really. I head down to JB nearly once every month but never stray from my old favourites. Maybe now will be a good time to try something new.

Danga Bay is packing the crowds lah! :D

Faith... I think the best is still in Muar. I thought they have lontong here but my host did not ordered.

LfB... That may the 'in' place.

Selba... I am sure Indonesia with its huge ethnic diversity would have an equivalent. It is Fish paste with lots of herbs and spices plus coconut milk. I enjoy the equivalent in Thailand.

FB... There is advantage with numbers. Order lots of varieties and share.

today i had my luch at singgah selalu kipmart, tampoi... I was so shocked had to pay my lunch, nasi campur RM4.50 just for nasi putih and daging masak merah about less than 10 piece...by the chef who stand by the cashiers... so angry... and i will never come to that place again.i'm a regular customer since Singgah Selalu at pantai lido near tennis court.
