Restoran Happily - Taman Flora, Batu Pahat

Taman Flora, its side is next to Jalan Flora 1.
A friend took us to this 'tai chow' for supper. It used to be busy until Carrefour opened in Taman Flora Utama some 2 1/2 years ago just 1km away. This set into motion a hosts of other commercial activities nearby and one of them, of course was restauranting. So business is leaner over this side. By 10:30pm there were the 2-3 occupied tables.

We have some good old fashion noodles, Hokkien, Cantonese and Mamak. Three more dishes were ordered to accompanied the noodles: Signature Tofu, Anchovies and Cashew and Stir-fried Spinach. I thought this place is unique for their mamak noodles and their anchovies with cashew dish.
Mamak Noodles - Sticky and Starchy just like the real thing.
Cantonese Fried Hor Fun - Not enough eggs stirred into the sauce but good enough as comfort food.
Hokkien Fried Flat Noodles - Too wet.
Deep-fried Tofu with Julienned Cucumbers and liberally sprinkled with powdered secret condiments. Tofu has thin tough skin to keep the very soft insides from spilling out. Good match for the three main ingredients. Excellent and refreshing!
Anchovies with Cashew Nuts and sliced onions. Crunchy nuts, chewy salty anchovies and pungent onions.Rounding up with some veggies.

Is that a tomato slice in the mamak mee?

I bet if they added more egg into the kuay teow gravy it would have been real good!! =D

BB... I thought it was a carrot slice. Don't remember as it was good and I was hungry. Wat Tan Hor , can't be stingy on eggs. Yes I agree.
