Kerala Tuna Curry Sandwich Fillings - Homecooking
Bland sandwiches can be unappealing esp those western types. I discovered this recipe to spice up our breakfast or tea time with dull canned tuna. I have use it twice and both times were moderately successful. What is missing will be the cooking time and steps taken to allow the spices to be fried till fragrant.

Components
- Canned Tuna Fish in distilled water – 3 cans (500g)
- Tomato (chopped) – 3 ripe medium
- Yellow Onion (sliced) – 2 medium
- Ginger (finely sliced) – 4 inches
- Chopped Garlic – 1 large
- Chilly powder – 6 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 3 tsp
- 2 or 3 sprigs of curry leaves
- Water -1 cup
- French or Himalayas Salt – As required
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- White pepper Powder – 2 tsp
Preparation
- Discard water from canned tuna.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry g ginger, fried garlic and onions till brown.
- Add tomatoes along with salt to taste
- Add chilli powder and coriander powder and stir.
- Add tuna fish and water and fry for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Finish off with pepper.
