Kari Kepala Ikan Puchong, Sri Petaling, KL

Newly opened for business this Sri Petaling branch is from Taman Kinrara. I have eaten in their Kinrara shop for a number of years. I am sure the old-timers there would have eaten from tlonger still. The Kinrara branch is behind Affin Bank along 7th Mile Jalan Puchong .

They started from a no shop to a simple shop and now this branch in Sri Petaling is air-conditioned and comfy. Ambiance is 6/10.

I like their curry fish head as they go easy on oil, santan/Carnation and the curry is lighter in taste. By no means they are compromising as this dish was very flavourful. Those who love CFH would have no complaints. Little MSG was used for their food here.

Our claypot CFH was humonguos and the largest I have had. Unfortunately the fish head was overdone causing the meat to be flaky.

Costs: RM180 for 9 pax.
CFH was 7.5/10
Mui Choy Kou Yoke - Usual run of the mill dish. Suggests order other dishes. 5.5/10.Marmite Pork Ribs - tender, its surface crisp and the meat was cooked into tear-away state. 7/10.
Usual fibre dish. Petai was not strong in taste and smell. Sambal was feeble. 6/10.
Deep-fried squid - slightly overdone as squid was small but tasty. Batter was crunchy. Overall quite satisfying. 7/10.
