Taman Yulek Wanton Mee, Cheras
Another iconic hawker food from the Cheras that is closer to Kuala Lumpur. Today Cheras can mean places as far as Kajang. I have heard about this Wanton Noodle ages ago but the priority was always to Kui Lum Pork Noodles until one day they gave me so many slices of kidney that I got turn-out.
We got there after 2pm and the adage, "Early bird catches the worm" rang out loud and clear. We got lean meat for all Char Siew BBQ noodles and most of the side dishes we gone. We have Fried Wanton but those were scant consolation for what's lost due to late arrival.
The noodles were extra thin and aldente. There were good. The BBQ pork was delectable and will be more so if it's the premium bellypork.
