Gummy Shark and Chips - Off The Pier Fish and Chippery, Williamstown, Victoria, Australia

We had an excellent meal at Off The Pier Fish and Chippery. They used Gummy Shark fillet which was fresh, fresh and fresh. It came piping hot and has a subtle and fresh aroma with light sweet taste. The meat was dense and firm. The chips were decadent, hot, crisp on the outside and moist inside, salted and full of carbs that we dared not finish.

We landed from Melbourne City at Williamstown's Gem Pier and was rewarded with a rather open piece of seafront. I guess the Australians just love the sun. I was scorched within the hour. A fun place to go and may I suggest, go early and retreat into the restaurant for lunch and head back to Melbourne after that unless the weather cooperate. Get an open ticket
