Tian Yi Yuan Dim Sum & Steamboat
The restaurant is above the ever busy Restoran Jade OUG. Tian Yi Tuan took up the entire 3rd floor. The boss it seems has lots of old furniture, paintings, sculptures and ornaments. Asiana and western are well represented. Rather than keep them in storage he displayed them in the restaurant. These pieces gave the restaurant some good ambiance.
The shabu shabu was great, better than the many that come and go. Fresh and quality ingredients, good soup herbal base, no hint of MSG and great service from the waiting staff. All well trained and courteous. The dim sum is of acceptable standard. The yam puff was excellent.

Take some time and check out the furniture's, sculptures and painting. It is worth checking out. The have a great painting by a local boy, Gan Tee Sheng. His Chinese Man 2 is both haunting and a real reflection of age and frailties.
