Vietnamese Banh Mi Cafe - Bandar Puteri, Puchong
The influx of Vietnamese to Malaysia since 20+ years ago added to the cosmopolitan cuisine scene. The more the merrier since we are already a melting pot of culinary gastronomic haven. In the beginning there is not much of an authentic Vietnamese food opened by professional entrepreneurs. This is due to lack of original and authentic ingredients and other implements to cook. Further, there were not many Vietnamese cooks.
Today times have changed. Eatery like this happened probably by accident. I was told the owner married a Vietnamese and voila the restaurant was born to cut a long story short. By now there are hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese migrant workers and a huge consumer base for things Vietnamese. I was told all kinds of authentic Vietnamese ingredients were brought in now to serve this huge market.
The food here is good and close to authentic. Flavourful and aromatic and true to its Vietnamese origins. I have been in and out of Vietnam at least 80 times and I can tell the difference. A truly good eat here.
