Girl and Mummy Curry - Chan Sow Lin Foodcourt
Friends were boasting about this particular curry noodles store for ages and posting incredibly luscious and handsome food photos in the chat group.
You need to Google map "Chan Sow Lin Foodcourt" to get there. Do not use "Girl and Mummy Curry" for address as it will lead you to Hyundai Motor, the other side of the road and no foot access.
The curry broth was thick but without the heaviness feel that made the stomach so weighed done as though it just had a ton of bricks. For Ipoh curry noodles' fans, you will not get that salty and aromatic taste and smell. It is light in that 2 departments. You can add in the curry condiments to get the more savoury taste if preferred.
What's so good? It is in the toppings. Firstly, the generous portion of seehums (blood cockles) were fantastic. Fresh, earthy (not mud) and raw-ish. The taste of the sea.
Then surprise, pork rind in all its glory. I got so many pieces. Its springy and had soaked in and absorbed the curry broth. Its definitely better than the tofu pok a lesser version and substitute of the rind. Finally, the Siew Yoke (roast pork) was very tasty and salted to my level of satisfaction, the way I like it.
