Sushi Tei - VivoCity, Singapore

With my newly acquired taste for sashimi, I am a Johnny-come-lately when it comes to Japanese fares, raw meat is much more palatable and even enjoyable. I had chanced on Sushi Tei in Tropicana City Mall and the one and only in Malaysia. Sushi Tei has 28 outlets mostly in Singapore and Indonesia.

This one is in VivoCity (the largest mall in Singapore) within the HarbourFront precinct. A more than a decent, comfy and relaxing atmosphere welcomed us. Spacious as we ran through a deep gauntlet of bamboo poles before entering the dining area. What a luxurious employment of space! A good experience and will check out the local joint soon.

I was eating with no raw food diners so the sashimi was lightly grilled. Salmon, sword fish, tuna, squid, ham and shrimp.
Some regular sushi from the belt for appetiser. This one is interesting enough to post. Fish floss sushi with deep fried salmon skin. Good stuff. My bowl of pork-based soup noodles with pork slices. Broth was excellent and was thickly infused. This is something that is not available in Malaysia.
Clams in butter-based broth. Done just right the clams were succulent. Scooped the sauce/broth with the shell. Pull out the meat and suck in the sauce in one deft move!!
Took the children for a walk at Harbour Front broadwalk next to the sea. Clad with timber planks it gave a warm feel. Directly opposite is the casino, Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios.
