Medan Putra shops are enjoying a mini boom. As luck would have it, they have the still growing sprawling Desa Parkcity adjacent to it. Despite DP having the Waterfront commercial area, eating choices are limited. What is needed will be more shops. Perhaps they are slow in this area to allow this premier township to develop further and also trying to keep the township livable.

Gu Wei Fang is unpretentious and has simple furnishings. They make it up with home-cooked style food. The affable owner goes around taking orders and recommending dishes personally. The service was good.

Pork Knuckle with Butter Sauce. The roast was above average. Crackling skin, soft, sticky and chewy gelatinous tendons and tender meat. The sauce is plentiful and is rich with aromatic spices and herbs arresting the tongue and nostrils. Perfect for those craving for meat.

Watercress Soup. Like home made. Tasted and smelled good. What more can I ask for?And a huge plate of spinach to round off the meal. Just like my mom. Just a small pinch of salt and a little oil. Let the spinach be the spinach.
